The Littleton Immigrant Resources Center (LIRC) at Bemis Library is an award-winning program that helps immigrants connect to community services, learn English, and apply for immigration benefits such as U.S. citizenship. The program has been recognized by the Harvard’s “Bright Idea” program as well as the National League of Cities for helping immigrants participate in their communities.
Immigration Legal Services:
LIRC has Department of Justice (D.O.J.) accredited staff members who are certified to practice immigration law before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
We provide consultations on immigration issues and help clients apply for Naturalization (US Citizenship), Certificate of Citizenship, TPS, Removal of Conditions, Employment Authorization Documents, DACA and Green Card renewals.
English Classes
We provide group ONLINE ESL classes for adults at beginner and intermediate levels. Each class is taught two days per week in the morning or evening.
Language Partners Program
The language partners program matches immigrants who wish to improve their English language skills with trained volunteer mentors for one-on-one language tutoring. The tutoring schedules are flexible in order to accommodate the busy schedules of students and volunteers. We provide a fun and respectful environment with a goal of improving students’ confidence and English communication skills.
