Join the National Partnership for New Americans’ (NPNA) April Legal Training Series focused on protecting immigrants through affirmative legal services. This two-part series will train immigration legal service providers and immigrant-serving organizations on best practices and strategies for navigating affirmative applications, changes under the current administration, and how to best prepare clients.

  • Conduct thorough client interview preparation to ensure confidence and accuracy in affirmative application.
  • Review recent updates to USCIS forms and potential impact on clients. 
  • Implement best practices when engaging with USCIS and responding to Requests for Evidence (RFE).  
  • Perform risk assessments to identify potential red flags and prepare clients accordingly.
  • Utilize trauma-informed and client-centered approaches when working with immigrant communities.
