Join the National Partnership for New Americans’ (NPNA) April Legal Training Series focused on protecting immigrants through affirmative legal services. This two-part series will train immigration legal service providers and immigrant-serving organizations on best practices and strategies for navigating affirmative applications, changes under the current administration, and how to best prepare clients. 

Session 1: Affirmative Legal Relief Strategies & Navigating Policy Changes

Learning Objectives:
- Identify key affirmative legal relief options available for parolees, asylum seekers, and temporary protection status (TPS) holders under the current administration.
- Share best practices to conduct comprehensive screenings for other forms of relief. 
- Assess recent policy changes and their implications on affirmative applications such as family petitions, naturalization, DACA.
- Develop effective strategies to mitigate risks and protect immigrant clients. 
- Utilize trauma-informed and client-centered approaches when working with immigrant communities.
